A Better Seal for Cannabis Packaging

Create a clean, tamper-evident foil seal on compatible jars. Pair 53-400 plastic caps with induction liners or pre-lined caps, then activate the seal with a handheld induction sealer.

How it works

  • 1. Cap the jar

Start with a 53-400 plastic cap and a compatible foil induction liner, or choose caps that arrive pre-lined.

  • 2. Activate the liner

Thread the cap onto the jar, place the handheld sealer over the top, and activate the liner in seconds.

  • 3. Create the seal

The foil bonds to the rim of the jar, creating a clean peel-away seal that customers can clearly identify before opening.

Why induction

  • Consistent presentation

A clean foil membrane gives every jar the same finished look.

  • Clear tamper evidence

A broken or missing membrane gives customers an immediate visual signal that the jar has been opened.

  • Better product protection

The seal helps create a barrier against air, moisture, and exposure during storage and transit.

  • Simple workflow

Use pre-lined caps for the easiest setup, or loose liners with compatible plastic caps.

Do I need a sealer?

Yes. Foil induction liners need to be activated with an induction sealer. Pressure-sensitive liners do not require a sealer, but they also do not provide the same peel-away foil membrane.

Should I use loose liners or pre-lined caps?

Pre-lined caps are the easiest option because the foil liner is already inside the cap. Loose liners are useful if you already have compatible plastic caps and want to add the liner yourself.

Is this the same as a pressure-sensitive liner?

No. A pressure-sensitive liner presses onto the jar when the cap is tightened. An induction liner bonds a foil membrane to the rim of the jar after it is activated with heat.

What jars does this work with?

This setup is designed for compatible jars using 53-400 plastic caps. If you are unsure whether your jar and cap combination will work, contact us before ordering.

Does induction sealing work with metal caps?

No. Induction sealing works through compatible plastic caps only. For this system, use 53-400 plastic caps with foil induction liners or pre-lined caps.
